Consulting
Sometimes you do not need more hands, you need a second opinion you can trust. WayTech offers focused technical consulting for teams and founders: reviewing what you have, deciding what to build, and helping you deliver it with fewer surprises.
What you get
A clear written assessment
What is working, what is risky and what to fix first, in plain language, with the reasoning behind each recommendation.
A prioritised roadmap
Next steps ordered by impact and effort, small enough to act on this quarter, with the trade-offs made explicit.
Hands-on help
Pairing with your engineers, reviewing important changes and building the first version of the harder pieces so the team can carry them forward.
Decisions on the record
Short architecture decision records so future you, and future teammates, know what was chosen and why.
Practices that stick
Tooling and habits such as static typing, automated tests, continuous integration and spec-driven development, introduced gradually so the team adopts them.
How it works
Listen
A conversation about your goals, your team and your pain points, and a look at the code, systems and constraints you are working with.
Assess
A focused review, usually over days rather than weeks, ending in a written assessment and options.
Recommend
We agree on a plan with clear priorities, and you decide what to do yourselves and where you want help.
Support
Optional hands-on work or an ongoing retainer to help you carry the plan out.
Common questions
How does consulting work and how is it billed?
Short, fixed-scope engagements such as a review or a roadmap are quoted at a fixed price. Ongoing advice and hands-on work are billed hourly or as a monthly retainer, whichever suits you.
Can you work with our existing team and tools?
Yes. I work inside your repositories, chat and ticketing tools, and adapt to how your team already works rather than asking it to change everything at once.
What kinds of problems do you help with?
Choosing between technologies, untangling a codebase that has become hard to change, making a system faster or more reliable, planning data infrastructure, adopting AI tools responsibly and setting up practices like testing and code review.
How quickly can you start?
It depends on my current commitments. Get in touch with your timeline and I will tell you honestly what is possible.
Is what we discuss confidential?
Yes. I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before we look at anything sensitive.
